The Coosawattee River Resort

WHAT'S THE RESORT FEE COVER? With your $65.00 resort fee, you will be able to go to the Guest Service and obtain passes to utilize the resort amenities for your party. This includes three pools, one of which is indoor/outdoor and heated during the winter, a fitness center and a coin operated arcade gaming center. You will also have use of tennis courts, a basketball court and a pickleball court- equipment is supplied. There is also an 18 hole mini golf. You will also have access to four river parks within the resort and a stocked fish pond.

REC CENTER:
The Recreation Center is the jewel of the Coosawattee River Resort and includes: ​ An enclosed, heated Junior Olympic-sized pool with 8-feet at the deep end and a large shallow end for the small ones, it's comfortable swimming year-round. A heated kiddie pool is available for the very little ones where they can splash & play in shallow water. Off of the Recreation Center's lobby are the Fitness Center and Game Room. The Fitness Center is complete with treadmills, weight machines, free weights, rowing machines, and exercise bikes. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi are also available. The Game Room is a coin-operated arcade with games, pool tables, and an air hockey machine. The Recreation Center also has other outside attractions, which include tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts, plus an 18-hole miniature golf course. The equipment can be checked out at the Recreation Center desk. A large covered pavilion at the Recreation Center can be reserved for birthday parties.

Directions:  from the Eagle Mountain Gate entrance off Hwy 382 turn right at Coosawattee Service Center onto Eagle Mountain Dr. Go through the gate. Go to the three-way stop and turn left onto Mango Lane. Go around curve and the Rec Center is on the right.

RIVERSIDE POOL: 
 The Riverside Pool Center is a beautiful outdoor pool. The pool is three to five feet deep throughout. While it was formerly referred to as the “Teen Center”, it really is more family-oriented with kids from one to one hundred having fun in the sun and enjoying themselves. Small children can enjoy the pool since it is only five feet deep, but everyone can have a wonderful time. There is a kiddie pool for toddlers and babies. The Riverside Pool Center has picnic tables and camping at Indian Fish Trap Park which is only a short walk across the Coosawattee River over the suspension bridge.

Directions:  from Legion Road Gate entrance turn left onto Ogden Dr (first entrance to your left) and follow until you see a sign on the left.

FOXHOUND POOL:  
Foxhound Pool is perhaps the most serene and relaxed of the Resort pools. Foxhound Pool also has a picnic area and a pavilion, as well as a changing area and restroom. This spot is a quiet and peaceful place to relax. ​ ​ ​ Location:  186 Foxhound Dr – 706-640-4055 Foxhound Pool is our smallest outdoor pool open from Memorial Day thru Labor Day.
Pool Hours:  11:00 am - 7:00 pm Every day ​
Directions:  From the Ellington Road Gate, proceed straight onto Riverview Dr at the 5-way stop. Turn right on Foxhound Dr and proceed onto the pool parking lot on your right.

STOCKED FISHPOND:  
One of the most used and well-liked amenities is our tranquil Fishing Pond on Beaver Lake Drive -- just around the corner from the POA. Come to the pond and fish all day or just sit beside the pond and enjoy the scenery. This pond is catch and release only. Fun for the whole family, the pond is open to our owners and their guests– no fishing license required. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day. ​ While no license is required, our fishing regulations mirror those of DNR regarding limits, etc. ​
Directions:  From the main gate entrance off Hwy 382 turn onto Beaver Lake Dr. & go .8 of a mile down and over the small bridge. The fishing pond will be on your left. There is parking right before the bridge, as well as closer to the other side of the pond where the walking trail is located.

NORTH PARK:
North Park, our smallest park is a place of quiet solitude for camping, fishing and just enjoying nature at its finest. There are seven tent sites; each has a picnic table and fire ring. There is a small pavilion at the bathhouse. ​ ​
Location:  208 Edgewater
Directions:  from Ellington Road Gate, after you enter gate go up hill and at stop sign proceed straight on Riverview Dr, turn left on Edgewater Dr to park.

EAST PARK:
East Park is a very nice tent camping park. There are twenty-nine tent sites with each having a picnic table and a fire ring. This is the 'shadiest' park inside CRRA which makes it a hit for picnic lunches on hot days. There is a pavilion large enough for family reunions, picnic tables, swings, playground, and basket ball court. The road around the park also makes a nice walking trail. It is right on the river and gives several options for fun with the kids.

Directions:  from Ellington Road Gate, after you enter gate go up hill and at stop sign turn right onto Spindrift Ct, this road dead ends into East Park.
